Guidelines for Authors
(Guidelines for Authors (In Brief))
▢ Manuscript Submission
Authors must submit their manuscript (in MS Word format) via the online submission system (http://kyobo5.medone.co.kr).
▢ Blind Review Policy
This journal follows a double-blind peer-review policy. Submitted manuscripts are sent to two reviewers—qualified experts in the relevant field selected by the Editor-in-Chief—who evaluate the manuscript based on journal guidelines and the characteristics of high-quality research papers. In the case of manuscripts requiring revisions, the same reviewers will re-evaluate the manuscript to ensure that the quality of the revised version is at an acceptable level.
Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
Authors must strictly adhere to these preparation guidelines before submitting their manuscript.
1. Language
The language used in the manuscript must be English. (Use American English, e.g., “color” instead of “colour”).
2. Manuscript Length
The length of the manuscript must not exceed 30 pages (Times New Roman, 12-point font), excluding tables, figures, references, and appendices (if any). Manuscripts should be typed on one side of the page only (Letter size recommended) with 1-inch margins, and the body text (including footnotes and references) should be double-spaced. Authors are encouraged to be as concise as possible without compromising clarity.
3. Title Page
The title page must include the following: (i) A concise and informative title, (ii) author names, (iii) author affiliations and addresses, and (iv) the corresponding author's email address, telephone number, and fax number.
4. Abstract
Provide an abstract between 200 and 250 words. The abstract should not contain undefined abbreviations or unspecified citations. The content of the abstract must include the Purpose, Design/Methodology/Approach, Findings, and Research Implications.
5. Keywords
Provide between 4 and 6 keywords that can be used for indexing purposes.
6. Acknowledgement
Authors may use an acknowledgement section on the manuscript title page.
7. Subdivision of the Article
Divide the article into clearly defined and numbered sections; section numbers must be marked with Roman numerals (e.g., I, II). Subsections should be numbered using a decimal system (e.g., 1., 1.1., 1.1.1., 1.1.2., 1.2., …, 2., 2.1.). The abstract is not included in the section numbering.
8. Table and Figure
Tables and figures should be placed within the text, not at the end of the manuscript. Please note that while the online version may include color figures, the printed version (booklet) will be published in black and white. However, color printing may be available in extreme cases upon the author’s request.
9. References
Authors must follow the latest version of the KITRI style when preparing references. For more information on the KITRI style, please visit www.jnabea.org.
▢ Citations in the text
All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list, and vice versa.
▢ Reference List
References must be sorted alphabetically first, and further sorted by year of publication (chronological order) if necessary.
